On the night behind us, Riot Games celebrated 10 years since the release of one of the most popular games of all time, their famous League of Legends MOBA game.
And we can say, the waves really surprised us with everything they presented. They will finally justify the "s" in the Games because they have introduced not one but three new games that they are currently working on!
The Legends of Runeterra card game has been rumored for some time now, and today it has finally been released in its entirety, so if you are interested in card games you can find out a lot of details on the official site.
However, that announcement is far from the biggest surprise we heard last night. What no one knew was that Riot was also working hard on a first-person tactical shooter, whose first shots we had the chance to see last night! It is something that reminds us very much of Overwatch on the first ball, but we have to wait for 2020, when they announced that we would find out more details. What we do know is that it is a "class" shooter, and that it has nothing to do with the LoL universe, but is based on the near future of planet earth (again, very much like Overwatch).
The third new game is a taboo, or fitting game, located in the LoL universe. This is something known from before that Riot is potentially working, but there have been no specific details and pictures so far.
In the end, the fourth newspaper is not a video game - but an animated TV series set in the LoL world, named Arcane.
This is just a major piece of news with last night's 10th anniversary of LoL, and if you want to know what else has been revealed, the valuable Redditor Timboron has made a very detailed and overview of the content of all the new announcements, along with links to trailers and other material.
